Fallen WarriorA rider on a Suzuki sport bike came close to going down a steep ravine today on La Honda Road about 1/4 mile West of Skyline. Tony, the rider, was with a group of sport bikers heading to the Coast when his ride didn't make the curve. As he skidded up a dirt rise on his side, Tony said he bailed out when he saw the bike heading toward the drop off. It's a good thing, too, because the Suzuki dropped about 50 feet and bashed into some downed redwoods. Tony, who was wearing jeans and a T-shirt, got some scratches on his shoulder from hitting a bush, but came through without injury. A local property owner winched the bike back up with his pickup.
